The virtues of Abu Bakr Ash Siddiq, What are the virtues of Abu Bakr Ash Siddiq?

Abu Bakar Ash Siddiq

This friend of the Prophet Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is a very influential figure and the most meritorious for the Prophet Muhammad and Islam. He was Abu Bakr Ass-shiddiq radhiallahu'anhu Radiallahu Anhu, the first person to embrace Islam with Ali bin Abi Talib Radiallahu Anhu and Sayyidah Khadijah Radiallahu Anhu (wife of the Prophet Muhammad).

While the nickname Ash Siddiq means always confirming the news of the Prophet Muhammad with full confidence. He was also nicknamed Ash Siddiq because he was the first man to justify and believe in the Prophet Muhammad. Abu Bakr was born 2 years and 6 months after the year of the elephant.

His physical characteristics are white, thin, thick hair, his face looks thin, his forehead appears, and he often wears hinaa and katm. This gentle companion of the Prophet was known to be firm and to have a firm stand.

There is no man in the world who has as much virtue as Abu Bakr. Here are the Priorities it has:

  • The Best Human After Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam from His Group

Ibn 'Umar Radiallahu Anhu said:

Meaning: "We once chose the best people in the time of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. We also chose Abu Bakr, after that Umar bin Khattab, then 'Uthman bin Affan Radhiallahu'anhu," (HR Bukhari).

He was also the first person to believe in the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi Wasallam, accompany the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi Wasallam and justify his words. This continued as long as the Prophet lived in Mecca, despite the many disturbances that came. Abu Bakr also accompanied the Prophet when he migrated.

  • Accompanying Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in the Cave When Chased by the Quraysh

Allah Subhanahu Wa ta'ala says in QS At Taubah Verse 40:

Meaning: "If you do not help him (Muhammad), indeed Allah has helped him (ie) when the disbelievers expelled him (from Mecca); while he was one of the two when both of them were in the cave, when he said to his friend: "Do not be sad, verily Allah is with us" (Surah At-Taubah: 40).

As Suhaili said: "Look carefully, here the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said 'don't be sad' but did not say 'don't be afraid'.

Because at that time Abu Bakr's sadness for the safety of the Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam was very deep, to the point that his fear was defeated.

When he was about to enter the cave, Abu Bakr entered first to make sure there was nothing that could harm the Prophet Muhammad.

  • Donate all wealth when it is recommended to give alms

Umar bin Khattab Radiallahu Anhu said:

Meaning: "The Messenger of Allah ordered us to give charity, so we did it. Umar said: 'Hopefully today I can beat Abu Bakr'. I also took half of all my possessions. Until the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam asked: 'O Umar, what have you left for your family?'. I replied: 'Such as with this'. Then Abu Bakr came with all his wealth. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then asked: 'O Abu Bakr, what have you left for your family?'. Abu Bakr replied: 'I left for them, Allah and His Messenger'. Umar said: 'By Allah, I will not be able to defeat Abu Bakr forever'," (HR Tirmidzi)

  • Abu Bakr was the most beloved person of Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

'Amr bin Al Ash Radhiallahu'anhu asked Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam:

"Who is the person you love? The Prophet replied: 'Aisha'. I asked again: 'What about a boy?'. He replied: 'Aisha's father' (i.e. Abu Bakr Ash Siddiq)', I asked again 'Then again?' He replied, 'Umar Bin Khattab. Then the Prophet Muhammad Shallallhu Alahi Wasallam mentioned some of the people he loved "(HR. Muslim)

  • Allah the Exalted sanctified Abu Bakr.

Allah Ta'ala says in QS Al Lail 17-21:

"And later the most pious person will be kept away from hell, Who spends his wealth (in the way of Allah) to clean it, Even though no one gives him a favor that he must repay, But (he gives it solely) because he seeks the pleasure of his Lord The Most High. And later he will really get satisfaction "(Surah Al Lail: 17-21)

This verse was revealed with regard to Abu Bakr. In addition, he also includes As Sabiqunal Awwalun,

And Allah Ta'ala says in QS At Taubah Verse 100:

"Those who were earlier were the first (converted to Islam) among the emigrants and the Ansar and those who followed them well, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Allah and Allah has prepared for them paradise- paradise in which rivers flow; they abide in it forever. That's a big win." (Surat At-Taubah: 100)

  • Abu Bakr was prayed by the Prophet to enter all the gates of heaven.

Rasulullah Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: "A person who gives two treasures in the way of Allah will be called by one of the gates of Paradise: "O servant of Allah, come here for enjoyment". If he comes from the group of people who like to establish prayers, he will be called from the door of prayer. Those who come from among the mujahid, will be called from the door of jihad. If he comes from a group who likes to give alms, he will be called from the door of alms" (HR. Al Bukhari-Muslim)

  • Muhammad's Ummah Ordered to Follow Abu Bakr Ash Siddiq

The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu said:

Meaning: "Follow the path of those after me, namely Abu Bakr and Umar" (HR Ahmad, Tirmidzi, Ibn Maajah).

  • Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam has guaranteed the resilience of Abu Bakr's faith

Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu narrated that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

When one day a shepherd (from the Israelitesl) was with his goats, suddenly a wolf came and preyed on one of the goats, then the shepherd managed to grab it back, so the wolf turned around and said, 'Who will own the goats later on the day of As -sab'u, the day when there is no one to shepherd but me?' (Another story) when someone was leading a cow that he had carried a heavy load on his back, then the cow turned and protested him, 'I was not created for this work, I only created to plow the land. So the people (who heard the story of the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace) were surprised and said, 'Subhanallah,' he said, 'As for me, Abu Bakr, and Umar, then we believe in this story.'' (HR. Bukhari, no. 3663 and Muslim, no. 2388)

It is also proven how Abu Bakr believed the news of Isra' and Mikraj. From Aishah radhiyallahu 'anha, she said, "When the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam was led to Masjidil Aqsa, then people started discussing it. Some of the people who previously believed and allowed him to become an apostate, they also came to Abu Bakar Ash-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, saying,

"Did you know that your friend admitted to traveling at night to Baitul Maqdis?"

Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, asked,

"Did it say that?" "Yes", he answered.

Abu Bakr said,

"If he really said that, it's true."

They said,

"Do you believe him that he went overnight to Baitul Maqdis and returned in the morning?"

Abu Bakr replied,

"That is why he was named Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq, the one who allowed him." (HR. Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadrak, 3:65. Al-Hafizh Adz-Dzahabi in At-Talkhish says that this hadith is authentic).

  • Abu Bakr radhiyallahu 'anhu has a gentle and forgiving nature.

The story of the slander of 'Aishah radhiyallahu 'anha, the daughter of Abu Bakr radhiyallahu anhu is proof of the envy (envy) of the hypocrites towards the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam and his followers. When the accusation occurred, Mishthoh bin Utsatsah was a person who was involved in the slander, even though Abu Bakar, may God bless him and grant him peace, had been giving him sustenance all this time, so he got angry and swore not to give sustenance again, until the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala was revealed in QS An Nur Verse 22,

"And let not those who have advantage and space among you swear that they (will not) give (help) to their relatives, the poor and the emigrants in the way of God, and let them forgiving and generous. Do you not want God to forgive you? And God is Forgiving and Merciful?" (QS. An-Nur: 22)

So Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, immediately said,

"Yes, for the sake of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, I really prefer Allah to forgive my sins." Then he, may God bless him and grant him peace, returned to providing sustenance to Mishthah. (HR. Bukhari, no. 2661 and Muslim, no. 2770)

When the battle of Badr was over, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, negotiated the prisoners with his companions. Umar bin Al-Khatthab radhiyallahu 'anhu recommended killing them all, while Abu Bakr radhiyallahu 'anhu actually said,

O Prophet of God, they are the children of our uncle and family, I see if you take a fine from them so that we can strengthen us in facing the infidels, hopefully God will guide them to convert to Islam. (HR. Muslim, no. 1763)

  • Abu Bakr was Khalil for Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

Imam Al Bukhari and Muslim narrated a hadith from Abu Sa'id Al Khudri, Radhiyallahu Anhu, he said: "The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, preached to people, he said: 'Indeed, Allah Ta'ala chooses a servant between the world and what is in it. . But the servant can only choose what God determines'. Then Abu Bakr cried. We were also surprised by his crying, just because Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam announced about the chosen servant. In fact, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, is the person, and Abu Bakr understands better than us. Then Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: 'Indeed, the person who has the greatest service to me in terms of closeness and willingness to spend wealth, is Abu Bakr. If only I were allowed to choose a lover other than my Lord, I would definitely choose Abu Bakr, but brotherhood in Islam and love is enough for him. So don't leave a small door in the mosque other than Abu Bakar's door'

In addition to some of the virtues above, Abu Bakr is also known as a friend who is zuhud. He died without leaving a dirham or a dinar behind. He was a wara 'and zuhud of the world to the point that when he became caliph, Abu Bakr continued to work for a living. Abu Bakr died on Monday in the month of Jumadil Awwal in the year 13 Hijriyah when he was 63 years old. May Allah be pleased with him.
